- 1/4 cup raisins (or dried cranberries)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise

- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Wash and dry the broccoli florets. Cut them into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.

- Peel and thinly slice the red onion. Add it to the bowl with the broccoli.
- Shred the cheddar cheese and add it to the bowl.
- Add the sunflower seeds and raisins to the bowl for extra texture and flavor.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Pour the dressing over the salad and toss everything together until evenly coated.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld together.
- Give the salad a final toss before serving and garnish with extra bacon or cheese if desired.
Notes
Chill the salad for at least an hour to allow the flavors to meld together. Toast the sunflower seeds for extra flavor, and customize the sweetness of the dressing to your preference.
