Description
A quick and easy snack featuring crunchy celery, creamy sunflower seed butter, and sweet raisins. Perfect for lunchboxes, after-school snacks, or a healthy treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4–5 large celery stalks, washed and trimmed
- ½ cup creamy sunflower seed butter
- ¼ cup raisins
Instructions
- Wash and trim the celery. Rinse the celery stalks under cold water and pat them dry with a clean towel. Trim off the white ends and any leaves. Cut each stalk into 3-4 inch pieces.
- Spread the sunflower seed butter. Take a piece of celery and use a butter knife or offset spatula to spread a generous layer of sunflower seed butter into the groove, about ¼ inch thick.
- Add the raisins. While the sunflower seed butter is still soft, press a row of raisins into the butter, spacing them about ½ inch apart.
- Repeat with remaining celery until all pieces are filled and topped.
- Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
Notes
For best texture, use firm, crisp celery and room-temperature sunflower seed butter. If the sunflower seed butter is too thick, microwave for 10 seconds to soften. Store in a single layer with a paper towel to absorb moisture. Best eaten within 24 hours.
