Festive Champagne Cranberry Mimosa Mocktail – Easy Party Drink

  • Author: Sarah Wasserman
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 2-4 servings 1x

Description

A tart, sweet, and bubbly non-alcoholic mocktail with fresh cranberries and orange, perfect for celebrations like New Year’s Eve, Christmas brunch, or any occasion needing a little sparkle.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) 100% cranberry juice (not cocktail)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) sparkling apple cider or non-alcoholic sparkling wine, chilled
  • ¼ cup (about 30 grams) fresh cranberries
  • 1 medium orange (juice of half, plus slices for garnish)
  • 12 tablespoons (1530 ml) simple syrup or honey (optional, to taste)
  • Ice (optional)
  • Fresh rosemary sprig (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Chill everything: About 30 minutes before serving, refrigerate cranberry juice, sparkling cider, and champagne flutes.
  2. Prep garnishes: Wash and pat dry ¼ cup fresh cranberries. Slice orange into thin rounds (about ¼ inch thick), cutting a small slit in each slice for rim placement. If using rosemary, rinse and pat dry.
  3. Mix juice base: In a small pitcher or measuring cup, combine 1 cup cranberry juice with juice of half an orange (about 2 tablespoons). Stir gently. Taste and add 1-2 tablespoons simple syrup or honey if desired, stirring until dissolved.
  4. Fill glasses: Divide cranberry-orange mixture evenly between 2-4 flutes, filling each about halfway.
  5. Add sparkle: Slowly pour chilled sparkling cider or non-alcoholic wine into each glass, filling almost to the top. Pour gently down the side to preserve bubbles.
  6. Garnish: Drop a few fresh cranberries into each glass. Slide an orange slice onto the rim. If using, tuck a rosemary sprig into the glass.
  7. Serve immediately: Give each glass a gentle stir with a straw or spoon. Best enjoyed within 10 minutes of making.

Notes

For best results, chill all ingredients and glasses beforehand. Use 100% cranberry juice for tartness; cranberry cocktail will make it sweeter. The juice base can be made up to 24 hours in advance. Add sparkling cider just before serving to preserve bubbles. For a batch, multiply ingredients and mix juice base in a pitcher; keep cider separate and add per glass. Garnish with fresh cranberries and orange slices for visual appeal.
