A quick and easy non-alcoholic Halloween punch with lime sherbet, pineapple juice, and ginger ale that creates a bubbling green potion effect. Perfect for kids’ parties and spooky celebrations.

Ingredients

1 quart lime sherbet
2 cups pineapple juice (100% juice)
4 cups ginger ale (e.g., Canada Dry or Schweppes)
2 cups lemon-lime soda (e.g., Sprite or 7Up)
3–5 drops green food coloring (gel preferred)
Ice cubes (optional; pineapple juice ice cubes recommended)
Optional garnishes: gummy worms, plastic spider rings, dry ice (food-grade), fresh lime slices

Instructions

Chill all liquids (pineapple juice, ginger ale, lemon-lime soda) in the fridge for at least 1 hour before serving.
Optional: Freeze pineapple juice into ice cubes for at least 4 hours to prevent dilution.
In a large punch bowl or pitcher, combine 2 cups cold pineapple juice, 4 cups cold ginger ale, and 2 cups cold lemon-lime soda. Stir gently with a ladle.
Add 3-5 drops green food coloring, stirring until you achieve a vibrant swampy green color.
Just before serving, use an ice cream scoop to add 6-8 large scoops of lime sherbet to the punch bowl.
Add ice cubes or frozen juice cubes around the edges of the bowl.
Garnish with gummy worms, plastic spider rings, or dry ice (handle carefully) for a spooky effect.
Serve immediately, ladling into cups with some melted sherbet foam. Best enjoyed within 30 minutes.

Notes

Add sherbet right before serving to maintain frothy texture. For dairy-free, use vegan lime sorbet. For extra spooky effect, add dry ice (handle with tongs, do not consume). Leftover liquid mixture (without sherbet) can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
