Description

This Easy Savory Ranch Chex Mix with Fresh Herbs is a crunchy, savory snack with a tangy ranch kick and bright, fresh dill and parsley. Perfect for game days, parties, or anytime snacking, it’s quick to make and disappears fast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 3 cups Corn Chex cereal
  • 2 cups mini pretzel twists
  • 1 cup mixed nuts (roasted, unsalted peanuts and cashews)
  • 1 cup cheese crackers (like Goldfish or Cheese Nips, optional)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine Rice Chex, Corn Chex, mini pretzels, mixed nuts, and cheese crackers (if using). Toss gently.
  3. In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter in 20-second intervals. Whisk in ranch seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper until smooth.
  4. Pour the butter-seasoning mixture over the dry ingredients. Fold and toss until everything is evenly coated.
  5. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the coated mix in a single, even layer.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes, until golden and fragrant.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool for about 5 minutes. Sprinkle chopped fresh dill and parsley over the top and toss gently.
  8. Cool completely on the baking sheet for at least 30 minutes. Break apart any large clusters and serve.

Notes

For extra crunch, bake an additional 5-10 minutes. The flavor improves after a day or two. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks. For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free pretzels and check Worcestershire sauce. For dairy-free, use vegan butter.
