  • Author: Sarah Wasserman
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings 1x

Description

Sweet, tangy, buttery, and ridiculously easy to throw together, these Honey Baked Ham Sliders with Cranberry Mustard are the kind of recipe that disappears before you even sit down. Perfect for game day, quick dinners, or any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slider rolls (like Hawaiian sweet rolls or potato rolls)
  • 1 pound deli-sliced honey baked ham (sliced about ¼-inch thick)
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 2 tablespoons whole grain mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. Make the cranberry mustard: In a small bowl, mix together the whole berry cranberry sauce, whole grain mustard, honey, and apple cider vinegar. Stir until combined. Set aside.
  3. Prepare the butter glaze: In another small bowl, melt the butter in the microwave (about 30 seconds). Whisk in the honey, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
  4. Slice the rolls: Keeping the rolls connected as a single slab, use a serrated knife to slice them horizontally through the middle to create a bottom half and a top half.
  5. Place the bottom half in the baking dish. If some rolls separate, push them back together.
  6. Spread the cranberry mustard evenly over the bottom rolls.
  7. Layer the ham: Fold the ham slices in half and layer them evenly over the cranberry mustard, slightly overlapping them.
  8. Add the cheese: Lay the Swiss cheese slices over the ham, tearing them in half if needed to cover completely.
  9. Top with the remaining rolls, pressing down gently.
  10. Brush the butter glaze generously over the tops of the rolls, getting into the cracks.
  11. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  12. Remove the foil and bake for another 5–7 minutes, until the tops are golden brown and slightly crispy.
  13. Let them rest for 5 minutes before cutting between the rolls and serving warm.

Notes

Don’t over-bake the sliders; the rolls will dry out. Use room temperature cheese for even melting. The cranberry mustard can be made ahead of time and refrigerated. Let the sliders rest for 5 minutes after baking to allow the glaze to set and the cheese to cool slightly.
