Description
This Easy Homemade Iced Pumpkin Chai Latte is creamy, spiced, and refreshing—perfect for fall mornings or afternoons. It comes together in under 10 minutes with simple ingredients, no stove required.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (240 ml) chai concentrate (e.g., Tazo or Oregon Chai)
- 2 tablespoons (30 g) pumpkin puree (100% pure, not pumpkin pie filling)
- ½ cup (120 ml) milk of choice (whole milk or oat milk recommended)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) maple syrup (or honey/brown sugar)
- ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup ice
- Optional: whipped cream, cinnamon, caramel sauce for topping
Instructions
- In a glass or small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree, ½ cup milk, 1 tablespoon maple syrup, ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, and ½ teaspoon vanilla extract. Whisk vigorously until smooth and no lumps remain (about 30 seconds).
- Fill a serving glass with 1 cup of ice.
- Slowly pour 1 cup of chai concentrate over the ice. Do not stir yet—let the layers form.
- Stir gently from bottom to top to blend the pumpkin mixture with the chai. Taste and add more maple syrup if desired.
- Top with whipped cream (if using), sprinkle with cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice, and serve immediately.
Notes
For a stronger pumpkin flavor, add an extra tablespoon of puree, but avoid too much as it can make the drink thick. To prevent lumps, start by making a paste with a small amount of milk and the pumpkin before adding the rest. Chill the chai concentrate beforehand to reduce ice melt. For a dairy-free version, use oat milk and coconut whipped cream.
