Description
This easy Halloween punch with sherbet float is a non-alcoholic crowd-pleaser made with real fruit juice, fizzy ginger ale, and creamy sherbet. It’s the perfect spooky centerpiece for any Halloween party.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups (960 ml) cranberry juice
- 2 cups (480 ml) pineapple juice
- 4 cups (960 ml) ginger ale
- 1 quart (about 4 cups) orange or lime sherbet
- Optional garnishes: gummy worms, plastic spider rings, dry ice (handle with care), fresh mint sprigs, edible glitter
Instructions
- Chill all ingredients (cranberry juice, pineapple juice, ginger ale, and sherbet) for at least 2-3 hours before serving.
- Prepare optional garnishes (e.g., wash mint, freeze gummy worms into ice cubes).
- In a large pitcher, combine chilled cranberry juice and pineapple juice. Stir gently. (Can be made up to a day ahead.)
- Just before serving, pour chilled ginger ale into the pitcher with the juice mixture. Stir very gently to keep carbonation.
- Pour the liquid mixture into a large punch bowl.
- Using an ice cream scoop, make 6-8 large scoops of sherbet and gently drop them into the punch bowl.
- Add optional garnishes (gummy worms, plastic spiders, mint, edible glitter). If using dry ice, place it in a separate heatproof container inside the punch bowl.
- Serve immediately with a ladle. Add more sherbet scoops as needed.
Notes
Chill all ingredients thoroughly for best results. Do not add sherbet too early or it will melt. For a dairy-free version, use coconut or oat milk-based sherbet or sorbet. Leftover punch base can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days; add fresh sherbet when serving again.
