Description
A refreshing and vibrant cocktail made with fresh strawberries, zesty lemon juice, and a touch of sweetness. Perfect for spring, summer, or any special occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3–4 fresh strawberries (or thawed frozen strawberries)
- 2 oz (60 ml) vodka
- 1 oz (30 ml) freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 oz (30 ml) simple syrup
- 1/2 oz (15 ml) triple sec or Cointreau
- Sugar for rimming the glass
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Prep the Glass: Rub a lemon wedge around the rim of a martini glass, then dip it into a plate of sugar to coat the rim. Set aside.
- Muddle the Strawberries: In the bottom of a cocktail shaker, add 3-4 fresh strawberries and use a muddler to crush them into a juicy pulp.
- Add Ingredients: Add vodka, lemon juice, simple syrup, and triple sec or Cointreau to the shaker.
- Shake: Fill the shaker with ice, seal it tightly, and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until the shaker feels frosty.
- Strain and Serve: Use a fine-mesh strainer to pour the cocktail into the prepared martini glass, removing any strawberry seeds or pulp.
- Garnish: Add a thin slice of strawberry or a twist of lemon peel for decoration. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
For a sugar-free version, substitute simple syrup with a sugar-free alternative. Chill your martini glass beforehand for a frosty finish. Adjust sweetness to taste by adding more simple syrup if needed.
