Description
A rich chocolate cake with a molten center filled with caramel, peanuts, and chocolate, inspired by the flavors of a Snickers bar. Perfect for celebrations or cozy nights in.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4–5 Snickers bars, chopped into small pieces
- 4 oz (113 g) dark chocolate
- 1/2 cup (113 g) unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup (67 g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup (30 g) all-purpose flour
- Cocoa powder for dusting ramekins
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Lightly grease four ramekins and dust with cocoa powder to prevent sticking.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 4 oz (113 g) of dark chocolate and 1/2 cup (113 g) of unsalted butter together in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk 2 large eggs and 1/3 cup (67 g) granulated sugar until fluffy and pale. Add 1 tsp vanilla extract and whisk again.
- Slowly pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, whisking constantly to prevent curdling. Fold in 1/4 cup (30 g) all-purpose flour gently with a spatula.
- Chop 4 Snickers bars into small pieces and divide them evenly among the ramekins. Pour the batter over the candy pieces.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center jiggles slightly when moved.
- Let the cakes cool for 2-3 minutes before running a knife around the edges to loosen them. Carefully invert onto serving plates.
Notes
Dust ramekins with cocoa powder to prevent sticking and add extra chocolate flavor. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for the best experience.
