Description
Soft, chewy cookies bursting with festive flavors of orange zest, tart cranberries, and creamy white chocolate. Perfect for the holidays or any cozy occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 1/4 cups (280g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup (170g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (110g) brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp orange zest
- 3/4 cup (90g) dried cranberries
- 3/4 cup (135g) white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until combined. Stir in the orange zest.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Using a spatula, gently fold in the dried cranberries and white chocolate chips.
- Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to portion out the dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers will look slightly underbaked.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a cooling rack to cool completely.
Notes
For extra festive flair, sprinkle coarse sugar on top before baking. Chill the dough for 30 minutes if it feels too soft to prevent spreading.
