Description
A refreshing and customizable summer dessert made with creamy yogurt, fresh fruits, and crunchy toppings, frozen into a delightful bark.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups (480 ml) Greek yogurt
- 2–3 tablespoons (30–45 ml) honey or maple syrup
- Fresh fruit (e.g., berries, kiwi, mango, or pomegranate seeds)
- Chopped nuts or seeds (e.g., almonds, pistachios, sunflower seeds)
- Mini chocolate chips or shredded coconut (optional)
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet or tray with parchment paper.
- In a medium-sized bowl, mix Greek yogurt with honey or maple syrup. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
- Pour the yogurt mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it evenly using a spatula to about 1/4 inch (0.6 cm) thickness.
- Arrange toppings over the yogurt, starting with fresh fruit, then adding nuts, seeds, and any extras like chocolate chips or coconut flakes. Press them down lightly to ensure they stick.
- Place the tray in the freezer for 3–4 hours, or until the yogurt is completely hardened.
- Once frozen, remove the bark from the tray and peel off the parchment paper. Use a sharp knife to cut it into pieces or break it apart with your hands.
Notes
For best results, use parchment paper to prevent sticking. Experiment with seasonal fruits and toppings for variety. Store in an airtight container to avoid freezer burn.
