  • 1 cup (240ml) milk
  • 1/4 cup (60g) melted butter
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt (if using unsalted butter).
  3. Stir in the shredded cheese until evenly coated with the flour mixture.
  4. In a smaller bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, and egg.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture. Gently fold everything together using a spatula—do not overmix. The batter should be thick and slightly lumpy.
  6. Spoon the batter into the greased loaf pan, spreading it evenly.
  7. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
