Description
These crispy pizza chips combine the cheesy, herby goodness of pizza with the crunch factor of chips, making them a perfect snack for parties or movie nights.
Ingredients
- Flour tortillas (or whole wheat/gluten-free tortillas)
- Pizza sauce
- Grated mozzarella cheese
- Mini pepperonis (or chopped regular pepperoni/turkey pepperoni)
- Italian seasoning
- Olive oil
- Optional: Grated Parmesan, fresh basil leaves, crushed red pepper, balsamic glaze
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cut each tortilla into 8 triangular pieces using a pizza cutter or sharp knife.
- Lightly brush each triangle on one side with olive oil.
- Spread a small dollop of pizza sauce onto each tortilla piece.
- Sprinkle grated mozzarella evenly over the sauce.
- Place one or two mini pepperonis on each chip or distribute chopped pepperoni evenly.
- Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the chips and add optional toppings if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 8-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 2-3 minutes before serving.
Notes
Don’t overload the toppings to avoid soggy chips. Use room-temperature tortillas for better crisping. Watch the baking time closely to prevent burning.
