Description
A rustic dessert combining gooey cinnamon rolls and sweet-tart cherries baked into a cozy cobbler. Perfect for holidays, potlucks, or cozy nights at home.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cans (21 oz each) cherry pie filling
- 1 package (8 rolls) pre-packaged cinnamon rolls with icing
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
- Pour the canned cherry pie filling into the dish and spread it out evenly. If using fresh cherries, cook them down with sugar and cornstarch beforehand.
- Open the package of cinnamon rolls and place them on top of the cherry filling, spacing them out slightly to allow for rising.
- Brush melted butter over the cinnamon rolls and sprinkle with a pinch of extra cinnamon for added flavor.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
- Drizzle the included icing over the warm cinnamon rolls. Optionally, sprinkle with brown sugar or chopped nuts for extra flair.
Notes
Let the cobbler cool for a few minutes before serving to allow the filling to thicken. For easier cleanup, line the baking dish with parchment paper. Customize sweetness by using unsweetened cherries or reducing the icing.
